These terms cover your use of the Pottery Nook app and these website pages. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Pottery Nook is operated by Ariane Medina in the Netherlands.
The service
Pottery Nook is a studio notebook: pieces, kiln logs, glazes, and optional community features. It is an organizational tool. It is not kiln safety equipment, firing advice you should trust over your own kiln and clay, or a substitute for studio training.
Your account
You must provide accurate sign-in details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete the account in Settings. There is a 30-day window to restore it before permanent deletion.
Your content
You keep the rights to photos, recipes, and notes you create. You give us a license to host, display, and back them up so the app can work — including showing posts you share in Community. You must have the right to upload what you upload. Do not post illegal content, harassment, sexual content involving minors, spam, or anyone else’s work as your own.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, including after a report from another user.
Community
Community is optional. You can report a post, reply, profile, or challenge entry, and you can block another potter. We review reports. We do not promise that Community is moderated in real time.
Pottery Nook Pro
Free includes unlimited pieces, kiln logs, and glazes on your device, plus signed-in text sync. Cloud photo backup is limited. Pottery Nook Pro unlocks unlimited cloud photo backup, full analytics, export, and the other Pro features shown in the app.
- Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They auto-renew until you cancel in that store’s subscription settings.
- Price and period are shown in the app before you buy.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us directly.
- If a subscription lapses, you keep your studio data. Cloud photo limits and Pro-only screens return to the free plan.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break the service, scrape other people’s private studio data, impersonate someone, or use the app to harm others. We may refuse or end access if you do.
Disclaimer
The app is provided as-is. Kiln temperatures, clay, and glaze chemistry can injure people and ruin work. Double-check everything in your own studio. We are not liable for lost pots, kiln damage, or studio injury. To the extent Dutch law allows, our liability for the app is limited to the amount you paid for Pottery Nook Pro in the last 12 months, or zero if you only used the free plan.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
